Our client leased and renovated an existing church building for use as a charter school for up to 80 Kindergarten and First Grade students. We achieved this by making minor modifications to the building for accessibility and fire safety. The client was also required to install fire-rated ceilings due to the differences in codes between church use and school use in a 2-story structure.

The improvements included modifications to the accessible routes and the restroom. Reliable Group worked in conjunction with the City of Tampa to obtain the necessary zoning, since a "special exception" is required for dual use of the building.
